Trompe LÓiel. Yummy: Life size objects. Kengo a visiting student from Japan loved chocolate bars and candies. He would drop them on the dinning room table and this inspired me to paint them; a time consuming Method to develop started with a dark background of the table top, once dry then was covered with a color in continuous layers. I was also forced to paint at the same time each day in order to capture the same mood and shadows. Enjoy looking at the candy and try not to take them off the canvas
