The
general practice in fiber works consisted since centuries
to shear the fibers from the leather and then to spin the
fibers into yarns. Wool yarn so becomes the raw material of
choice for fiber works which ultimately is also responsible
for the well known lint and dust problems in woven products
The road of revolution that we embarked on was to abandon
spinning for the original material, the tanned skin or the
leather-wool material.

Our approach is totally
new.
We use the fibers as they are. This means as they are naturally
attached to the leather. This became possible with the maturation
and convergence of 3 technologies: the leather tanning techniques
allowing for soft and supple leather that can be washed,
the dyeing of wool attached to the leather and the sewing
techniques allowing to sew pieces of leather-wool together
seamlessly. The convergence of those 3 techniques became
only feasible recently...
Hypoallergenic
Medical
theory has it that dust and lint from wovens can be dangerous,
especially for children. Dust and lint from woven carpets
can indeed trigger asthma attacks. With our contemporary
rugs you will be totally safe.
Don't

We want only the best for our customers so we exclusively
use first grade very thin fibers Australian lambskins. And,
you know this perhaps already, wool with the thinnest fibers
fetch the same price as gold, per weight unit, in annual
auctions in Australia !
Our leather wools are tanned and sanitized to the strictest
standards for hospital and baby health care and we apply
the strictest European standards to protect them against
bacteria and fungus, this protection withstanding our standard
washing procedures. Our leather wools are indeed hot-water
washable.
